Micro-concrete for all supports and destinations - A thin layer of millimetric concrete

Micro-concrete

Micro concrete, otherwise known as micro cement, or "Béton ciré"

An increasingly popular design product.

It is a cement based coating which can be applied thinly (approximately 1-2mm) to a range of different surfaces including tile. With a contemporary look, it is an ideal solution for bathrooms, kitchens, stairs, countertops, floors surfaces inside and out, walls, furnitures…

What is micro concrete? Uses, application, and advantages

Microcement is the most popular type of decorative concrete. It is compatible with all types of surfaces (glass, concrete, tiles, etc.) and all applications. A cutting-edge and ultra-modern finish, it can be applied both indoors for floors, showers, and stairs, and outdoors on patios or summer kitchens. Its excellent adhesion allows it to bond to even the smoothest surfaces (glass, ceramic, stoneware, etc.), vertically, horizontally, and even on ceilings.

Questions about micro concrete

How to clean microcement ?

Cleaning a polished concrete floor requires special care to avoid damaging the surface. Here are some steps to follow when cleaning a polished concrete floor:

  • Sweep or vacuum the floor to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to remove light stains.
  • For more stubborn stains, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner such as Masters Maintenance. Be sure to carefully follow the product's dilution ratio.
  • Rinse with clean water to remove all cleaner residue

It is important not to use bleach, acidic products, or steam to clean a polished concrete floor, as this can damage the surface. Regular cleaning is also recommended to prevent the accumulation of dirt and dust. Avoid using abrasive products, such as nylon or metal brushes, as these can damage the surface of the coating.

How to renovate micro concrete?

Micro concrete has a lifespan of at least twenty years. However, to ensure it ages well, it needs to be refinished regularly (approximately every 3 to 5 years) to prevent it from becoming dull or stained.
